Abdi Debela
Chief Financial Officer
Abdi Debela is based in Denver, Colorado, and joined the Village Enterprise team in January 2023 as the Chief Financial Officer. A licensed Certified Public Accountant (CPA), Abdi has over 25 years of professional experience in finance, accounting, and auditing in the international nonprofit, government, and private sectors. Abdi comes to Village Enterprise after serving as the CFO of Water for People, a WASH international development organization operating in nine African, Latin American, and Asian countries. Before that, she worked for iDE, overseeing regional and global finance teams in Africa and Asia in various capacities, including as a VP of Finance. She holds a BA in Accounting from Addis Ababa University, Ethiopia, an MBA from Vanderbilt University, USA, and a Chartered Global Management Accountant (CGMA) designation. She is also an active American Institute of Certified Public Accountants (AICPA) member.
