Mudenge Macumu Joseph
Vice President of Monitoring, Evidence, and Learning
Joseph joined Village Enterprise in November 2023 and brings over 15 years of professional experience to his role as the Vice President of Monitoring, Evidence, and Learning (MEL). With a strong background in synthesizing data to drive program and organizational improvement, Joseph is dedicated to leveraging insights to enhance impact and drive sustainable change.
Prior to joining Village Enterprise, Joseph served as the Director of MEL at Inkomoko, where he spearheaded the streamlining of data systems and the establishment of Business Intelligence capabilities. Before his time at Inkomoko, Joseph led planning, monitoring, evaluation, and research initiatives at Rwanda Social Security Board. His contributions included the establishment and enhancement of various social security schemes, underscoring his commitment to driving socio-economic development and improving livelihoods. Joseph also serves as a board member of the Development Bank of Rwanda and has previously served on the boards of Prime Economic Zones, Ruliba Clays, and Hope Shines.
Joseph holds a bachelor’s degree in statistics from Makerere University (Uganda) and a Master of Science in Actuarial Science from the University of Lausanne (Switzerland). He is also a Certified Data Science professional and a Certified Enterprise Risk Manager.
