James joined Village Enterprise in late 2023 to help the organization grow its individual giving program. A fundraising executive with a broad fund development background, James blends his front-line fundraising experience with an audience-engagement approach to donor relations, diversifying revenue streams, building prospect pipelines, and identifying new income opportunities. As a storyteller and brand builder, he’s keen on distilling and marketing an organization’s value so audiences understand why it matters, why they should care, and how they can help. James has worked with mission-driven organizations in the environmental, humanitarian, gender equality, arts and culture, and publishing worlds, with over ten years in the international development arena. James holds a Bachelor’s in International Relations and History and a Master’s in the Social Sciences.
