Brett Slezak

Vice President of Marketing and Communications

Brett Slezak joined the Village Enterprise team in 2022. Throughout his career in marketing and communications, Brett has specialized in telling the stories of organizations and individuals making an impact in the fields of international development and education. Brett began his career as a Peace Corps Volunteer in the Republic of Cape Verde, where he taught English as a foreign language. Before joining Village Enterprise, he also worked at the nonprofits buildOn and Chicago Scholars. Brett holds a BA in Journalism and Mass Communication from the University of Iowa and an MFA in Nonfiction Writing from Columbia College Chicago.
