Where We Work
Our roots are deep in Africa
Village Enterprise works with women, refugees, and youth living in extreme poverty in rural Africa.
With over 500 passionate team members, we work in Ethiopia, Kenya, Rwanda, and Uganda to directly implement our model. We hire our field team directly from the communities and villages we serve, and as a result, over 97% of our team is African.
Through strategic partnerships, we also work in Congo-Brazzaville, the Democratic Republic of the Congo, and Tanzania. In these countries, Village Enterprise staff provide technical assistance to local organizations on how to implement and scale our model. In 2020, we also partnered with World Vision to adapt our poverty graduation model to support families most impacted by Cyclone Idai.
